General Campaign Questions
What is the Discipleship Building Campaign?
The Discipleship Building Campaign is a focused initiative to expand Citizens of Heaven Church’s capacity to make disciples. The campaign will fund the construction of a new discipleship building, providing space for children’s ministry, teaching, training, fellowship, and equipping God’s people for Kingdom impact. It will also fund the renovation of our current worship space to create long-term sustainability for the church in the heart of our city.
Why is this campaign necessary?
God has blessed our church with growth, and we are committed to seeking the good of our city in downtown Chattanooga. With many young families joining our church, it is vital that we provide a safe and healthy space for discipling our kids. In addition, discipleship is at the core of our church, and we need space for lifegroups and other ministries to gather and grow.
What is the overall goal?
With $800,000 already set aside for this project, our prayerful goal is to raise $5,100,000 over three years to fully fund the discipleship building. We aim to have $3,825,000 (75%) pledged before beginning construction.
Is there 100% Leadership support for this campaign?
Yes, all elders, deacons, and staff have made their campaign pledges for the next 3 years.
What is the projected budget for the discipleship building and for the renovation of our current space?

How long will the campaign last?
The campaign will run through 2028, with pledges fulfilled over three years.
When will construction begin and how long will it last?
There is no exact start date or timeline at this time. Once 75% of the goal is pledged, we will proceed with the building process. At the point, we will have more clarity on the total scope of the project. A preliminary budget has already been received, and a 10% inflationary contingency was added to set the campaign goal.
